We are looking for a full time, live out, experienced Rider/Groom to manage the day to day running of a lovely, private GB endurance yard. Previous experience with endurance horses is not essential, however the person MUST be a competent rider (racing, eventing, show-jumping, dressage, hunting, polo etc).

Full Time experienced Head groom required for private yard located in the most beautiful location on the Essex/Suffolk border near Dedham.

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic person to manage this lovely yard with 10 Grass liveries and 3 private horses ( 1 Eventer, 1 hunter and 1 allrounder)

The groom needs to be friendly, organised and have excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, owners and other staff.

The ideal person will have previously worked as a Groom and be confident in handling horses on the ground and also be happy hacking the hunter and allrounder.

Other essential requirements are :-

  • clipping
  • plaiting
  • trimming
  • pulling tails and manes
  • bandaging
  • preparing for travel and competitions
  • preparing for hunting and able to look after upon their return.
  • many other general yard duties

There is a Sunday groom and also someone who helps with poo picking the paddocks. Other staff employed on the Estate so not an isolated position.

Other grooms live locally and there is a good social life or the chance to live a quiet life if preferred.

Car driver essential due to location and lorry driver would be great but not a deal breaker

Full Time Junior Groom – Cambridgeshire _ REF 643

JUNIOR GROOM required for private eventing yard located near Cambridge.
We are looking for someone with previous experience equestrian experience to join this small family team . The horses/ponies compete both in the UK and Europe.
All yard duties to a high standard and the ability to prepare horses for travel and competitions ( bandaging, clipping,plaiting , studding up etc) TRAINING WILL BE GIVEN
A good confident rider who can exercise the horses (hacking) would be preferred.
Reliability, enthusiasm, friendliness and a good work ethic of the upmost importance.
No accommodation so live out only,BUT OWN HORSE CAN BE ACCOMMODATED AND REGULAR LESSONS AVAILABLE.
