Full Time Groom – Colchester, Essex REF 625 –

Full Time experienced competition groom required for small, family eventing yard located approx 15 minutes from ~Colchester, Essex.

This position comes highly recommended from previous long term grooms.

A maximum of 2 beautiful event horses to care for, who currently compete at intermediate level so a wonderful opportunity to be fully involved.

The ideal person will have previously worked with competition horses and understand the demands of the eventing/training season.

Accommodation available on site in cosy self contained cottage.

The requirements for this role are as follows:

• Reliability and a good work ethic
• Friendly personality
• Excellent turn out skills – clipping plaiting etc
• The ability to ride fit competition horses ( hacking and schooling)
• Lunging
• Competition day grooming- tacking and studding up, washing off etc
• Bandaging for travel and stable
• To be able to muck in and muck out !
• Lorry Driver

Car driver essential due to the location and lorry driver would be a great advantage.

As there are only 2/3 horses to care for there will be times when the successful person could work within the house etc. to make up hours.
